Connie Lawrence, MSW, LSW, CET II
Therapy, counseling & coaching
Connie offers both traditional psychotherapy and non-traditional methods, such as role play, drama, music, sand tray, and group-building programs. “Sometimes traditional talk therapy will do wonders to help a person feel supported and find their source of strength,” she says. “Other times a person might crave a deeper level of healing.” That is when psychodrama, for example, may bring to life non-verbal memories that have been holding a person captive or stuck repeating the same old patterns. Exploring through action, in a safe and supportive environment, allows access to parts of ourselves that may be kept hidden from view. The “magic” of translating non-verbal memory into words and feelings can result in the feelings of empowerment, mastery, and well-being.
Connie holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University and Bachelors in International Studies from the School for International Training in Vermont. She has specialized training in working with early trauma, women facing addiction, and sexual trauma. She is a Certified Experiential Therapist by the American Society of Experiential Therapists (ASET) and has trained with the Toronto Centre for Psychodrama & Sociometry.
Connie had 22 years owning and operating a successful business.
